Mushroom farm

mushroom farmMushroom farm – Rooms for mushroom growing should be located in an area with permeable ground. The groundwater level should be below 1 m. The location of the facility should enable its possible expansion. The minimum size of a mushroom farm, which would provide work and support for an average Polish family, is approx 500 m2 of cultivated area. On the other hand, the optimal size in Polish conditions is 1000…1200 m2, i.e.. 5 do 6 hall po 200 m2 each. However, due to the specificity of production, a novice producer should start growing from one hall.

A typical cultivation hall (both Christmas tree type) should have the following dimensions: length 16…17, width 5,80 and height 3,70 m. The materials used to build the mushroom farm must ensure proper thermal insulation, because the walls of the building are exposed to very large temperature fluctuations, occurring throughout the production cycle. The facility should have ventilation openings, to ensure the exchange of air by gravity in the crops in the event of an accident, should mechanical ventilation fail. Particular attention should be paid to the efficiency of the water system, because a lot of water is used during the entire growing cycle. Due to the humidity in the mushroom farm, lighting installation should be adapted to the voltage 24 hal po, to reduce the risk of electric shock. Central heating furnaces with full installation of smooth pipes should be used for heating the halls (gas heating is the most practical). You can also use solid fuel stoves. Air mixers should also be installed in the hall, for temperature equalization.
