Melon. It is an extremely thermophilic plant. It should grow in a sunny position, sheltered from the wind, on fertile, humus and easily warming soil. It fails in wet and cold summers. Mulching the soil with black foil is beneficial, which prevents loss of water and heat. Requires a position in the first year after manure, large doses of mineral fertilizers and plenty of water. It is grown from seedlings, which is produced in very good light and heat conditions, preferably in greenhouses. It can be grown under cover, thanks to which an earlier and higher yield is obtained. Needs cutting.
Sowing dates: for cultivation under cover – Melon; for cultivation in the ground – Melon.
Planting dates: under the foil – half of V; to the ground - half of the VI, spaced 60…80 x 40…50 cm.
