Their beginning dates back to the eighties of the last century. The first varieties arose in France as a result of the crossing of a multiflower rose (R. multiflora Thunb.) with a Bengal rose (R. chinensis var. semperflorens Koehne) and differed greatly from today's varieties. They had small flowers, 2-3 cm in diameter, with varying degrees of fullness, gathered in a domed corymbose. Further breeding work improved this breed considerably, which was named Rosa polyantha hort. and further crossbreeding with large-flowered roses led to the development of new breeds, belonging to the same group. The first varieties of roses of this breed are a thing of the past today; Few of them can still be found in rosaries and amateur collections. When writing about these first representatives of bouquet roses, it is impossible not to emphasize their great merits, mainly for urban green areas; They were the first to shine with their beauty and immediately gained enormous popularity and popularity, in which their inherent qualities played a fundamental role, which we have already mentioned above.
