Further breeding work improved this breed considerably, which was named Rosa polyantha hort. and further crossbreeding with large-flowered roses led to the development of new breeds, belonging to the same group. The first varieties of roses of this breed are a thing of the past today; Few of them can still be found in rosaries and amateur collections.
