Bengal roses
The next breed of large-flowered roses, they are bengal roses, also called monthly - Rosa chinensis var. semperflorens Koehne = Rosa bengalensis Pers. This breed also did not play a major role in terms of application; on the other hand, it has a huge share in breeding - participating in the creation of renovators and bouquets. It is derived from the above-mentioned species of Indian origin; this species, as a result of extensive breeding work, has released approx 300 varieties of roses of this breed, which are noted by specialist publications from the end of the last century. The breeders were particularly impressed by the abundant and continuous flowering of the parent species and the beauty of the flowers. From the long register of rose varieties of this breed, only a few have survived to the present day. We can at best find Gruss an Toeplitz, undoubtedly the best and most resistant, amazing with its velvety, vivid red flowers, which she adorned herself profusely throughout the summer.
