Mushroom belongs to the class of basidiomycetes. Due to its taste and chemical composition, it is a very valuable food. Mushroom fruiting bodies contain 75% digestible protein and many minerals, e.g.: potassium, Phosphor, calcium, iron, etc.. and - which is important for people on a diet – they are low in calories.
Amateur mushroom cultivation creates opportunities to supplement income, especially in the autumn-winter period, and the used growing medium can be additionally used in the garden as a very valuable organic fertilizer. Farm buildings can be used for mushroom cultivation, cellars, garages and sheds, as well as rooms unsuitable for other purposes, how: bunkers, kg z, closed brickyards. In each such room, however, you need to create the right conditions for yielding, because it is a crop that requires special care and compliance with care procedures. With optimal growing conditions, in typical mushroom growing facilities, the yield is approx. 20 kg z 1 m2, with worse, it drops to 10 kg. Mushrooms are usually grown twice a year – in spring and autumn. The harvest time varies from 8 do 10, kg z 12 weeks.
