One or two species of fruit trees are most often grown in fruit farms in Poland. The largest number of farms specializing in apple production. If you take into account the profitability of individual fruit plants, as it has been shaped so far, and the great ease of obtaining external workers during the harvest season, such an internal specialization in horticulture was fully justified. For several years, however, changes have been taking place which undermine the purposefulness of maintaining such a narrow specialization in the future. One, which has already been mentioned, is a systematic decline in employment in agriculture. This forces us to look for a better distribution of the need for manual labor, without excessive peaks, and thus a better use of the farm's own labor resources. The second change is towards reducing the differences in the profitability of fruit production of individual species. These changes will manifest themselves even more clearly in the future.
