However, it is used for the production of the so-called. orchard rootstocks (annual or biennial seedlings) refined with wholesome varieties, and vegetative (asexual), consisting in the reproduction of plants from different parts of them (missing parts regenerate), used in ornamental plants, in fruit plants and in these vegetable plants, which do not produce seeds (e.g. horseradish or garlic). The daughter plants take over the characteristics of the mother plant, which enables the preservation of valuable varietal traits.
