Lamb's lettuce
annual plant, originating in the Mediterranean countries, mainly cultivated, in Western Europe and North America; in Poland, like all vegetables little known, it is grown as an amateur or in very small amounts in the vegetable districts of large cities. Young leaves from plants that are not yet blooming are used to make salads with cream, mayonnaise and other sauces.
Salsefia – kozibród porolistny
annual or biennial plant originating in Italy, with a spindle-shaped root, it is cultivated almost all over Europe. The taste of salsify is similar to that of parsley, but more delicate. The roots are eaten as vegetables.
