Grafting plants is sometimes performed to strengthen plants of noble varieties. These include the grafting of bridge plants – performed in the event of extensive wounds on a tree, that prevent the circulation of juices; consists in nailing one-year-old shoots above and below the wound on both sides, trimmed on both sides, similarly to the method of grafting plants by application. When performing grafting of bridge plants before the beginning of vegetation, strips of bark are cut on the trunk with a knife, so that the shoot adheres tightly with the cutting surface to the wood. By carrying out grafting of bridge plants in May, a T-shaped bark is cut and a scion is slid under it. The wound is smeared with fruit ointment. In order to save trees, whose roots were damaged by frost, wild boar implantation is performed. It consists in inserting the cut tops under the cut cortex 2…3 seedlings planted close to the trunk.
