Spreading the saw teeth

It is often necessary to spread the teeth of the saw blade before a new circular saw is cut. The easiest way to do this is by hitting them with a hammer, after laying the saw on a soft wood stump. Even a saw with a thicker and large diameter can be prepared in this way. The teeth still need to be sharpened. The size of the bend is selected by eye or by using an appropriate template. We swing the next teeth alternately. It is generally accepted, that the size of the flare should be equal to the thickness of the saw blade.
