Cutting the bolt

It is easier to cut a long bolt to the appropriate length, if we screw a nut on it and in such an assembly we fasten it in the jaws of a vice. The nut should be screwed on in this way, that it is spaced from the screw head by a distance 2-4 cm. Trim with a fine-toothed metal saw. Only saw blade can be used for small diameter screws.
