Honey extractor

uncapperThe honey extractor is usually centrifuged indoors. Before putting the slices into the honey extractor, remove the capping with an uncapping fork or a knife warmed in a vessel with hot water. When centrifuging honey, rotate the centrifuge drum slowly at first, accelerating gradually until you reach the speed you need.

If you accelerate the rotation too quickly, the patches may break.

As a rule, honey straining is not used in small apiaries. It is enough to pour the honey into appropriately tall dishes and collect the wax crumbs after a few days, that come to the surface. Honey is stored in enamelware, glass, aluminum or tin-plated. The use of galvanized cookware is not recommended, zinc or copper, unless such utensils are covered inside with varnish approved for contact with food products.
