Mistakes when planting trees

Beginner fruit growers often make the following planting mistakes:
• plant trees too deep or too shallow
• wrap roots that are too long, instead of shortening them or widening the fovea,
• They do not tread the ground tightly around the roots.

Each of these errors has a negative impact on the growth or health condition of the trees.
When planting trees in the fall, a mound of height should be built around each of them 25-30 cm. It will protect the soil against excessive freezing, and thus protects the roots of the trees against frost damage.
If the orchard is not fenced, then the trees are wrapped with straw or paper, or they are covered with special covers made of perforated plastics.
Solid foil cannot be used for wrapping trees – without holes, because favorable conditions for the development of pathogenic fungi are created under it.
Do not hesitate to wrap the trees, because it often happens, that the hares damage them as early as October or November.
In spring, freshly planted trees must be heavily trimmed. This treatment is aimed at shortening and reducing the number of shoots, thus reducing the water requirements of trees over time, when the new roots have not yet developed. In addition, cutting allows you to give the tree crown the desired shape.
