Organic fertilizers for trees

manureOrganic fertilizers improve the soil structure, i.e.. manure, compost or green fertilizers. These plants should be used for green manure, which have a fast growth and give a high yield of green mass in a short time, so legumes (yellow lupine, bobik, seradela pastewna, vetch, the field, that is, field peas). They also bind free nitrogen in the air. Mustard is also recommended, which – due to the short growing season – can be sown twice. Mustard supplies 2.5 times…3 kg of organic matter per 1 m2. Plowing or digging plants for green fertilizers should be done at the beginning of flowering, because their green mass is then lost.
The fertilization of light soils can be achieved by placing a thick layer of humus at a depth 50 cm below the ground. The easiest way to achieve this effect is as follows: after removing the top, humus layer of soil 20…25 cm with a belt width of approx. 1 m, at the bottom of the resulting groove, organic fertilizer is placed in the amount of 6…10 kg in 1 m2. This fertilizer should be dug with the soil of a deeper layer. Digging another groove, the removable top layer of soil smoothes the previous trench with the organic fertilizer, in this way, the humus layer of the soil will be preserved on the surface of the fertile plot. The last dug strip of soil is covered with the top layer of soil removed during the digging of the first trench.
