Pruning and planting roses

planting-rozPruning; a condition of lush flowering.
The best time to cut roses is spring. This date can be associated with the flowering period of forsythia. Bed and large-flowered varieties produce flowers on new shoots, therefore bushes should be trimmed in height 20 cm above ground level, in order to stimulate them to intensify the setting of even more flowers. Frozen and diseased shoots should be cut out in their entirety. The unique flowering of the bushy forms is not exposed to light until flowering, because a strong spring pruning would significantly reduce the number of flowers. The repeating flowering varieties also develop flowers on young shoots. Shoots are shortened to a maximum of half their length (look photo); after such treatment, flowering falls out much more luxuriantly. Ground cover roses can be pruned, e.g.. hedge trimmer.

Planting: successful start to the new season.
We can plant bushes either in the spring, or in the fall. Roses feel best in permeable, fertile soil with a high clay content, However, they also tolerate sandy humus soils quite well. The bushes take root deeply, therefore, the substrate should also be loose in deeper layers.
Before planting, the bushes should be immersed in water up to the root of the shoot and kept in such conditions for several hours, so that the shoots absorb the right amount of water. During this time, we can prepare the substrate. Work
we start by digging the soil and feeding it with mature compost or manure, then we prepare the planting wells. Before the plants reach their target position, should be subjected to the so-called. planting cut (see picture). Grafted varieties are planted like this, so that the vaccination site is approx. 5 cm below the ground (the place of vaccination can be recognized by the numerous shoots growing out of it on the sides). Finally, we knead the ground and water it. So that the water does not spill, form a low collar from the ground around the bush.
PLANTING CUTTING – Before planting, shorten all the above-ground shoots to a length of approx. 20 cm, in addition, we trim the root tips. We leave the fine fibrous roots
