Potato and multi-story onions

Potato onion. It has a milder flavor than ordinary onions and is resistant to low temperatures, so it hibernates in the ground. It grows well in any soil, and its cultivation is no different from the cultivation of common onions. It is propagated by separating the side bulbs. They are planted in the fall, in spacing 30 x 10…15 cm, because it grows and forms the nests of small bulbs.

Multi-story onion – tree onion. Produces air bulbs on inflorescence shoots. The smaller ones are used for reproduction, and larger ones for consumption. The requirements and cultivation are the same as that of other bulbous plants. Planting density is 50 x 30 cm; requires staking. It winters well in the ground.
Shallot, seven-year-old and pearl onion. The cultivation rules are the same as for the species described above.
