Thin metal bars and tubes can be easily bent with a simple device made of wooden boards. Two smaller boards are nailed to the third larger one that forms the base. Leave a gap between the nailed boards, in which the bent rod or tube is inserted. The corner of one of the boards should be rounded with a radius the same as the bar bending radius or better with a slightly smaller radius, as the bent tube may slightly spring back.
