cabbage pest, a butterfly with white wings with black spots. Wingspan – 40…60 mm. Caterpillars, length 40 mm, yellow-green with black spots, they eat the cabbage leaves, leaving only thicker leaf veins.
Greenhouse whitefly
pest of ground and greenhouse vegetables, m.in. cucumbers and tomatoes. Adult insects, length 1,5 mm, chalky white. Yellow-green larvae suck the plant sap (as a result, plant growth is inhibited) and stain the leaves with honey dew, on which blackworm fungi develop.
