When planing the fronts of the boards, the board may split along the grain, the blade of the plow itself. To prevent this, it is enough to attach two wooden blocks of the same wood to the sides of the boards. We clamp them with a carpentry clamp. Plan the face of the board together with these blocks. These will effectively prevent splitting.
